Barak Obama makes history as next President of United State of America !

ImageBarak Obama, the winner of yesterday's presidential race is to make history by becoming the first African-American president of the United States. The 47-year-old Democratic senator from Illinois defeated his Republican rival, Senator John McCain to become the 44th president of the country winning key battleground states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Obama received 338 electoral votes over 127 for McCain clearly surpassing the 270 needed to declare a win. The first-term Illinois senator, 

son of a Kenyan father and a white American mother was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. Obama’s running mate Senator Joe Biden from Delaware will become the Vice President. The new President elect will be sworn in as President on Jan. 20, 2009.
